Booting Problems

My computer, does not boot up correctly, it appears as though it boots up in the incorrect sequence. When the windows XP operating system has booted up, there is a pause of 45 secs and then it completes the boot up when the desktop is visable. The boot up sound occurrs some time after (45 secs)the desktop is visable. It is at this time I can then use the icons on the desktop. I have checked that I have the most up to date BIOS.

Booting Problems are mostly caused by bad drivers

PS check that you have not got too many items starting at boot. Start\Run type MSCONFIG Startup tab and remove all the unnecessary items that are starting at boot
