Booting up problem

  Ritchbee 19:53 13 Jan 07

On booting up I've started getting the following error messsage coming up.

CMOS Checksum Error - Defaults loaded

Could someone let me me know what the problem is.

I can press F1 and continue as normal.

I have recently put in a new PSU unit/Graphics card could that be causing it ?.

Is there any test you can do to confirm it ?.

Thanks for the advice

Not realy as the battery will be about 3.3 volts aprox and if you test with a meter it only needs to be down to about 3.1 and you will have probs

Since putting a new battery in I have been getting the following intermitent message.

BIOS Checksum error

When I re-boot the PC (sometimes twice) I anm getting a screen up which I xcan only decribe what looks like the motherboard set up screen ?.

After a few seconds the PC will go on and boot up as normal but quickly skips past the screen I'm used to seeing that shows Memory, devices etc before going on to boot up in the normal way.

Any clues as to what might be happening ?.

Any ideas on how to solve it ?.
