hi could someone help i have uninstalled boot viz but it has left a trace file in the system 32 folder this file takes a lot of space but when itry to delete it it says it is being used by another program i have serched the pc and cleane everything named boot viz but get the same result when i rty to delete it thanks in advance chippy

Can you delete it in safe mode? Press F5 at start up.

hi have tried safe mode wont delete
thpath is C:\windows\system 32\log.files\wmi\trace cant open to big for notebook size 68,544 kb thanks again chippy

Download tracelog_setup.exe click here

Double click it to install - install Tracelog to C:\ (not the default folder).

Start, Run, type


and click OK.

At the > prompt type:

C:\tracelog -stop

and press the Enter key. Then type

C:\tracelog -x

and press Enter.

Start, Run, type


and click OK.

Navigate to the folowing key:


Right click it and choose Modify.

Change the value from 1 to 0.

Close the registry editor and reboot.

tried and got the same answer idont know what i'm doing wrong the downloaded program is installed in my programs under resourse kit
after the >C:\tracelog -stop and then i get the error

Did you definitely install it to C:\ ?

By default it tries to install somewhere else.

If that still doesn't work, try just changing the registry key and rebooting.

hi VoG changed the setting in regedit rebooted
