Boot Screen Choice

I have recently installed a utility called Changer XP 1.04 on my PC and since I have been presented with a choice when booting up of "Windows XP Professional" or "(Backuped by Changer XP)Windows XP Professional".

I wouldn't mind, but they both seem the same.

Any ideas how I could get rid of one of them?

Okay, I think this is right. Right click my computer select properties and go to advanced. Go down to startup and recovery and select settings. Select edit and uncheck the "time to display operating systems" box (after selecting which one you want as default). Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong before you do it!!

Try it, if it doesn't work you can always do the same and put it back to how it was before!!

Haven't tested it yet, but it looks right to me!

Test it then and let us know how you get on!!

if your using a 3rd partie boot selector then the above methods may not work

If not then insert your Windows XP CD and boot from it then enter the recovery console. In there type "fixmbr". It will give you a warning and just say continue

I have now tested Dazwm's method and it works a treat. Thanks.
