I recently upgraded my motherboard to click here. I have a 2 disc SATA RAID 0 and a backup IDE. Every so often my pc boots up on the IDE drive, ie it changes boot order in the BIOS - easily fixable but annoying. any ideas/suggestions gratefully received.

Is your CMOS battery OK?

I know if it isn't, the clock usually reads the wrong time, but you may have one that sets automatically via the internet.

If it is a bit dodgy it could cause your bios to default the bootup settings.

Just a point.

Good luck

As it's a new board, I forgot to suggest you try re seating the battery..

It seems to be when I have installed new software that requires a reboot. Does that shed any light?

As Fingees suggested check CMOS battery is seated properly and even though it is a new MoBo it could be a duff battery.
