I have recently bought a secondhand base unit and during boot up it stops at ,press F1 to continue,I do this and everything is ok.How can I get it to boot up normally. Thankyou.

Normally there is some sort of error message accompanying the F1 message.

I think you may have to go into the BIOS to set the boot order - F1 usually indicates it is "wanting" to boot from a floppy drive (even if you don't have one) Set the order to boot from your Hard Drive and this error should go away.

BIOS - usually accessed by hitting DEL or ESC key on startup.
