I have an Acer PowerF5. P4 with 512 Mb ram running XP Pro. Somebody installed RAID drivers on a single disk, so i removed the SATA HDD and formated the drive in a different PC then replaced the HDD but now cant get the PC to boot i get the windows XP window but then the PC restarts.
I never changed/touched any other cables or connections.

Did you load Windows on the other Computer after Format? If you did, the drive is setup for that PC not yours.

The RAID drivers also contain the sata drivers

You will need to load the raid drivers at the F6 prompt when installing XP.

ok thanks i will give that a try.

Also you need to use the XP cd to do a Repair install on your PC
