boot up problem

my boss tried to re-install his BB off the bt disk.

he was asked to restart the computer to save the settings.

when it restarted it would not boot up.

it starts and then says:

veryfiying pool data, boot from ATAPI cd-rom: failiure.

non system disk or disk error.
replace + strike any key when ready.

problem is now tho he has taken the disk out and pressed a key and the message repeats itself.

He cannot press the restart button on the HD only turn th epower button off.

When he reboots the same message appears evebn tho there is no disk in the drive.

His computer will now not boot up.

cannot get into safe mode.

f8 does not do anything.

the only button that works in del to enter the set-up.

You have to keep tapping the F8 key just before the Windows screen should load.

If you get into Safe mode,

Choose Last known good configuration, this will start your computer using the registry information that was saved at the last shutdown
