Boot Manager problem

After dabbling with Linux some time ago, I have been left with click here at startup. As XP starts after two seconds, I've never bothered with it.

Now I find I can't access my Ghost back-up because the boot manager is over-riding the bios, which I've set to boot from CD.

Is there an easy (and safe) way to correct this?

Hi have a look at your BOOT.INI file. If you have multiple OS's loaded it is this file that holds the information. Allowing you to choose which OS to load...but I've not seen this before so it may be something completedly different.

There way be a line in here that you need to delete referring to LINUX.

Where is the boot.ini file?

Found it click here. It looks normal to me, I think it's the Linux that's taken over the booting.

Spotted a difference 'partition(2)\WINDOWS', instead of (1).

If I fit a new hard drive, with the bios still set to boot from CD, and the Ghost CD in the drive, will it load the saved operating system data, but not the troublesome boot data? Or will the boot data be loaded on the new drive>
