Boot from LAN

Hello on my laptop it has the option to boot from LAN And I am just wondering what this is?

basically your laptop starts up and goes into windows when it detects a signal to it from a network.

dont think thats correct as when I select to bbot from LAN it says no startup file recieved or something along those lines

Jf your laptop is connect to a network and left instandby mode, another PC on the network can send a file to the laptop and "wake it up".

This is used if the PC to be woken is used as a print server or internet connection server.

it only relevent to company network with a server.

Basically, operating system (windows) is install central in the server, you boot it up from there instead of local OS
