I have downloaded from Microsoft website the boot discs onto 6 floppies.
On disk 3 I received the following error message:
FILE SETUPP.SYS COULD NOT BE FOUND. ERROR CODE IS 4096. SET UP CANNOT CONTINUE.
Any offers of help greatly appreciated.

either re-download them from another computer, it sounds like a touch of corruption has occurred,

or what do you want to do with this?
Set your CD/DVD to be accessed first on booting, and you should be able to reinstall/install/ delete Windows on...

Be more specific with what you would like to do with your dodgy (corrupt) floppy disks

I'm doing a re-install of Windows XP Pro. My current copies of XP (borrowed) will not boot so I have been advised to boot by floppy.

Do you think if I altered the boot order on my Bios to CD-Rom first, my CD's would work? I believe i have an early unbootable edition of XP, so it may well not.

I have tried altering the boot order on Award Bios but have not been able to move the CD Rom device up or down the list as instructed using the + and - keys.
