Blueyonder/Webstar DPX100 driver install problem

I've started to have around 2-3 crashes a week when playing games online or on one occasion merely browsing tinternet. The problem seems to relate to the Webstar modem drivers connected by USB.
My main problem however, is that after I have uninstalled the drivers and disconnected the modem (in order to install the latest drivers for modem)as soon as i connect the modem again, XP automatically installs the original drivers for the modem without going through the add new hardware wizard.
Is there a way to force XP to go through the wizard? The info from Webstar says you have to go through the wizard in order to install new drivers.
Its getting very frustrating.
Any help much appreciated.

You could try to locate the old drivers within your XP set up and delete them, replacing with the new. The manufacturer may be able to tell you what the file is called.
