Bluetooth on a Laptop

I am looking to buy a Laptop and would appreciate advice as to whether it would be worthwhile to get one with Bluetooth. I have to confess I don't really know anything about Bluetooth - so I'm obviously not using at present with my PC. But - I don't want to find myself regretting not insisting on Bluetooth when I get the new laptop. What is it usually used for? Any advice please!

Hello,

Bluetooth is normally used for file transfer between mobile devices, most/all modern mobile phones have it. It is a connectivity signal. Most people use it to transfer pictures/music to/from their computer/phone. It's not vital, but you might want it if you use mobile phones/other portable devices. Note that iPhones can't send/recieve files except to Macs and other iPhones/iTouches.
