I have just aquired a new mobile and it can connect to a PC with a bluetooth device.I have a netgear broadband router with a wireless adaptor. Is there a chance that this would take the place of the blue tooth dongle or do I have to buy a new bit.It might seem a daft question but I have had no dealings with this technology. No doubt my Grandson will know the answer!!!

You can not connect a Bluetooth phone to a wireless router - different technology.

You must buy a bluetooth dongle for the PC
