Blue Sub-folders in "WINDOWS" Folder

  villageidiot 15:14 18 Mar 07

In Windows Explorer - My Computer//Local Drive (C )/WINDOWS there is a list of about eighty sub-folders, in blue, of the form: -

Every one of these has many files plus a sub-folder labelled spuninst, (Service Pack Uninstall) and is anything from about 300KB to 5MB in size. It looks as though they are the Service Pack folders and files.

Am I stuck with these annoyingly padding out my Explorer tree for evermore? If they are the SP, I would have thought Microsoft would have put them all in a suitably labelled sub-folder.

VoG - Thank you.

I've done that. Now down to eight folders, each containing a spuninst sub-folder and some files. (Ranging from 1 file to 110 files in each folder)

This is a lot better, but am I stuck with these eight folders, which the xp_remove_hotfix_backup program did not remove?
