blue screen... playing music.

i have a problem when playing music, either straight from the disc drive or off the hard drive. after about 10 mins or so, during playback my pc will crash to a blue screen and issue a warning. the warning message is on the lines of 'if this is the first time this has happend please reboot and try again'. obviously its happened an many occasions otherwise i wouldnt be asking for any comments as to why this would happen. ive updated my driver for the onboard sound (realtek) and i have even reloaded windows, to no avail.

any help would be welcome. many thx,

system spec: windows xp pro, amd 64, nforce3 mobo.

What are you playing your music through ?
Windows media Player/VLC etc

Could it be possible you have a corrupt music file causing this ?

Are you saying you have a fresh installation of windows ?
If so,make sure all drivers are upto date, run the mobo disc if possible.

Hi skidzy.

yes, it happens after a fresh install of windows. However, its never worked since the initial build of the system.

i mainly use windows media player but it also happens with the realtek music player that came with the mobo. i believe all drivers are up to date.
