Having had to replace a faulty hard drive all appers OK but, when I try to access a cd (ROM or music) I get the blue screen and the message code 0e00280000001.
The device manager says all is ok.
Any ideas please.

Thanks for advice handyd, checked all the jumpers & they are OK.
Through a process of elimination, checking BIOS boot sequence etc., I managed to track the fault to a dodgy CD/R player. All appears OK with the CD out of the system, will run it for a while to get confidence back and then get a new cd/r.
Once again, thanks.
