Please forgive the ignorance of a long extinct dinosaur who is struggling to keep up with modern technology and its terminology. Can somebody please define the word BLOG in plain grammatical English, and put me out of my misery?
Many thanks. Arrow.

# Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site.

# A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog.

A blog is basically a web page for you to say whatever you want, show whatever you want. It's an accessible way for people to have their own basic web pages in the form of a journal / newsletter where they put on it whatever they want.

Here is one someone has set up for they describe it "This Blog completely devoted to technology. This blog provides latest tech news, reviews, happenings, and geeky and cool gadgets specially refined for nerds. Just visit and feel it yourselves!" click here

Create your own blog when you go travelling, decorate your house, a hobby, something interesting ....... give people the web address of it and they can read it. Blogs range from the interesting to the completely useless / weird / whatever.
