Don't let your kids use the internet, If they can't be trusted to use it properly then they shouldn't use it besides it can promote anti-social behaviour.

If you will allow them to go onto the internet make sure that the pc is in a place such as a family room, so they can be watched.

otherwise go to click here

This allows you to trace exactly what they get up to on the internet.

sweeping statements don`t help, have you ever don a search for something as simple as The Tweenies or harry potter.

see what results YOU get then think about your statement again.....

kids should be able to go on the web safely and i think that was the original question, How to do it safely.

However i do agree with the rest of your reply, keep the pc in view and monitor it at regular intervals, and do install net nanny or cyber sitter or any other parental control program.

Happy surfing.

Another Free alternative is at click here - free version link is at bottom of page.
I have used their product IPROTECTYOU for over 1 year and it works well (W98SE). It will also block e-mails and chat room talk. Can also be configured to block PORTS if you want to, add to/delete from block lists , gives wide logging/reporting features, etc. Too many features to mention - try it out.

I understand one of the first things kids learn about computers is how to defeat these devices!

PS. 'hi guys' is not a good start!
