Blocking ad aware cookies

If and when my SAS etc scan finds ad aware tracking cookies, In IE9 I go to tools, Intenet options,Privacy, Sites, and manually add the site to the blocked list. I wonder where all the other sites shown have come from that are on the list? I did find a website (forgotten it now!) that listed other "notororious" sites. Is there a system ar easy way of adding others other than one by one?

PS I have free Spywareblaster - set to block tracking cookies but a few get through.

Probably a new host file will do it.

A lot of folk use this one but maybe best waiting for further advice.

I have a licensed copy of AdAware installed.

For me it finds and quarantines tracking cookies, it doesn't generate them.
