blind friend

I have a friend who is blind and uses some sort of Screen reader; she is able to send and receive emails, read web pages, etc.
However, her screen reader seems unable to deal with Yahoo Messenger.
Does anyone know of some solution for this problem.
Obviously it would help enormously if she could chat in real time.
thanks for any suggestions.

If you have a mic connected to the computer, within messenger there is the option to set up audio with a mic and speakers, providing the person on the other end has a similar setup.

Best I can do, but hopefully there will be others who know more, that can help.

Hello,to confirm what jimv7 has told you;yahoo messenger will allow you to talk in real time via a mic,I do it often and find no problems with it.
A headphone/mic set is more convenient, being all-in-one,just a basic one is more than adequate,I use click here
Setting it up is easy enough too.Hope this is of use to you and your friend.
