A blast from the past - Converting Atari ST Docs!!

Hi,

A friend of mine has a load of documents created on an Atari ST computer using the First Word Plus word processing package. The documents were all created several years ago and are stored on 3.5" floppy discs (presumably Atari ST formatted). He would now like to convert the documents onto his PC for use in Word etc and has asked me how!!!

Anybody have any ideas?

Questions that spring to mind are:
As we have no working Atari St, do I need an emulator to read ST discs on a PC(and where can I get one)?
What format and file extension did First Word Plus use?
Does anyone know of a file convertor (to ascii or rtf)?

All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

This one might be better click here

It's a good start there are four different emulators and three forums so I should be able to find something to do what I need.

Many thanks for the help.
