Bizarre Delete Key & Mouse Problem

  Allora 09:36 03 Apr 07

I have two problems on my laptop that I hope someone can help with, please!:

1. If I press the Delete key, it starts gobbling up everything, as if it remains pressed (though it is not stuck down). This happens every time.

2. I have another, intermittent problem. When selecting a file, folder, email or contact using the left mouse or keypad button, I sometimes get a message asking if I want to dlete it. I try to press no, but the pointer keeps returning to the OK button. The only way out of this is to use the Tab key to switch between OK and No, and then press Enter on the No button.

It could be a virus, but I have run AVG, No Adware and Windows Defender Full System scans and nothing is detected. They are all updated daily.

Can anyone help, please!

It may just be that the delete key is in fact stuck, as some keyboards laptop and desktop, rely on a plastic type membarane to spring the keys rather than a spring.

Some body may point you in the right direction to be able to sort it.
