Perhaps your keyboard has reverted back to American. Go control panel and keyboard and reset for english

In Control Panel, Regional and Languages Options, Languages tab,
click the Details button
and make sure the keyboard is set to United Kingdom.

Make sure that if it also has English [united states]on it as well as English [united Kingdom]Remove the United States one.And just have the UK one.
