Bios settings

I had a look at the BIOS for the first time today and there are a couple of settings which are disabled and I can't think why.

One setting gives a warning if the CPU starts to overheat, the trigger temperature can be altered.

The other setting shuts down the pc at a preset temperature if the CPU overheats.

Is there any reason why these are disabled?
Will enabling them have any unforeseen effects?

Thanks.

it wont cause any harm if enabled.just dont set it too low otherwise you will get alarms and shutdowns for no reason.
