Bios not showing correct CPU speed

  smudger1767 08:42 13 Jun 06

G ood morning , I have recently upgraded to a Asrock K7VT4A Pro with an AMD Athlon 3000+ but the bios recognises it as a 2000+. I have the mobo set at 266MHZ because it wont boot up at 333MHZ which is the right speed for the CPU. I have flashed the bios to the latest avalable 1.60 but it still wont boot at the correct 333MHZ. Any suggestions much appreciated.

go to the amd site and look for your cpu - it will tell you what settings are required.

have you altered the FSB jumpers on the motherboard? click here ( number 10 ). If you have a barton 333Mhz 3000+, then you need to set the jumpers to click here.

If you have already done this, then disregard.;-)
