Im building a PC for my friend andI've plugged everything in, but when i go into the bios, only the DVD is showing up, not the hard drive.Ive tried switching the jumper to slave and back with no success. The HD is working, i can feel it spining.
Any help as to why this isnt working?
Thanks

Is the hard disk partitioned? Is the hard disk formatted? Does it have an operating system installed on it?

Is it a SATA hard drive?

Sorry about the late post, ive managed to get it to work, but when Im installing windows XP, after I select where to install, and after the formatting, it says that the disk is damaged or something, though its brand new.
