Bios Battery

A friend of mine changed the battery because everytime he switched his machine on the clock was wrong, but since then he cannot access the HDD the bios knows it is there but won't access it for the OS.

It is a Sata HDD could this be something to do with Sata drivers?

Bios will have been reset so he will need to set it up again (boot options) when the computer is starting up tap f2 or delete and change the boot option to

1, Removable
3, HDD
