I have aproblem where my PC is crashing and on examining my event viewer I get the following error description. AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attemting to read from an illegal port address (0x71), which lies in the 0x70-0x71 protected address range. This could lead to system instability.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this.

not sure sorry. i had a google and found click here= have a read maybe.

in the meantime if you have windows xp and it keeps restarting try this to get a useful error that you can look up in the search for box click here

click 'start/conrtol panel/system/advanced/start up and recovery/settings' then untick 'automatically restart' you should now get an error displayed instead of a restart, as above note it down exactly then look it up in the ms knowledge base maybe.
