Just wondering if all those that set Windows to Automatic update will get this downloaded whether they want it or not.Maybe check your update settings.

I do not and would not have Windows updates set on automatic. A lot of the updates are just not needed so why allow them to be downloaded to your PC?

At least you can uninstall it if you decide to try it - not that I have. I also read a few of the reviews/comments on it and wondered why MS still attempt to push it. Not a good advert, but perhaps some people will like it.

As an aside, is there any way of hiding unwanted updates in W7 as there was for XP?

Same here I always update manually and ignore those that are not needed.

This new one will probably be much the same as Silverlight,it does not matter how many times you tick it not to show again it keeps reappearing.

I never ever took to Bing.Maybe Ok in different Countries but I always found it to be fairly poor compared to Google.
