Better quality modem cable?

I seem to be getting a lot of errors with my router.
FEC errors 242,058.
HEC errors 5302.
CRC errors 3937.
I'm using one of those thin white modem cables to connect my Speedtouch 585v6 to the phone socket.
If I bought a higher spec 24-gauge twisted pair cable to replace it, would I benefit from better signal quality (maybe higher sync)?

I forgot to mention that those errors were for just 1 day uptime.
