Best Vista freeware to burn CD's?

Can anyone please recommend a good, simple-to-use free download CD burner, that will run under Vista?

Whats wrong with Windows Media Player

Kevscar - my experiences with WMP (under XP) have been extremely patchy, including the well-known problem of it not recognising CD-R's put into my CD drive.

I don't want to saddle my wife (who uses Vista) with a similar problem, so I was looking for an independent piece of free software.

MCE2K5 - many thanks for that link and recommendation. I'll have a look at that one.

Anyone else had good experiences with other freeware?

I use Ashampoo, works perfectly for all types of CD and DVD (and does Blueray but I've not actually used the BR bit) burning.

I would second Ashampoo - it's very user-friendly and works a treat.
