Best security settings for IE6

  SB23 16:02 09 Sep 06

I let my father in law on my pc the other day. Now pages are not being displayed properly, java settings have been changed, and will not run correctly, in fact looks like he went into the settings and changed the lot.
Problem is, if I return to default, still nothing runs.
Can someone advise as to what the optimum settings should be, so that I don't get errors and warnings all day long. (The unsecure page warning is driving me mad!)

Thanks in advance

SB..try IE fix or System Restore, the latter here

Medium is enough along side a firewall and anti-virus.

To enact the change in IE go to tools, options, and advanced. Here you will click the 'Restore Defaults'...

I had customized it, and it was fine, but I can't remember what I had adjusted, lol.

If xp,try system restore to the day before your father in law was let loose on the system.
