I am scanning some holiday photos. I plan to burn them on a CD. What would be the best file format to use? Size doesnt realy matter.

TIFF is easy, readable on most machines and, being a non-lossy format, will not deteriorate on repeated copying (unlike JPG and some others). The files are big but if you can cope with that, go for it.

If size is not an issue, then as -pops- says, TIFF is the format of choice.

So TIFF then.

Thanks Everyone!
