best drivers

i have recently installed xp on a new hard drive using the old hd as slave does xp automatically load the best drivers for hardware or should i load manufacturers disk.also i was hoping to use the slave for one user but cant seem to dual boot it when i change it to master

You need to load the motherboard drivers from the manufacturers

...load the best drivers for all your devices; i.e. graphics card, sound card etc.

As for other users - you don't need another drive for them. Simply go to [Start],[Control Panel],[User Accounts] and add users as required. Each will have its own profile and still run from drive C:.

You certainly don't need to dual boot!

have now reloaded motherboard drivers windows seems to be rejecting on board sound card. can put it in but after a restart its no longer there.help(one day ill learn to be happy with what ive got and stop messing)
