Hi,

Request from a mate time.I was asked if there was a better defrag program, then the one supplied by Microsoft?.
Personally I use it all the time, but my friend asked about O&O Defrag 12 Pro.
Never used or heard of it before,so is it worth buying,or is there another that he should consider?.
He doesn't mind paying for a program if its worth having.
Cheers

Or you can download Diskeeper Light for no charge and it's perfectly good for normal use.

The free version is the same as the pay for, the only difference you have to pay if use it for commercial uses. It has 'boot de-frag' integral, & has a small footprint. I bought the full version a year or so ago & it's excellent.

You can check this out.

Prevents fragmentation and defrags what little gets past it. Everything is done automatically.

I use it on my XP desktop and it's excellent.

O&O is a good defrager but you will find it is not the fastest defrager around, even on a quad core with 4 GIG RAM I found the speed unacceptable.
