Benchmarking and what's in my computer

I seem to recall there is a free prog that will tell you the perforamcne of a computer and also whats inside like memeory and what type etc, Am I correct? If I am, what's the name of the program, please?

You are probably thinking of SiSoftware Sandra, Belarc Advisor or Everest Home.

They'll all do for system info - some more than others.

Everest does a small amount of benchmarking - but benchmarking is a very complex ballgame - it all depends what you want to benchmark, and to an extent why.
