Hi there ,

I have a Belkin Wireless Modem 125 F5D7633-4Av1_UK_1.00.11 ( btinternet ) and I'm having a problem with the DMZ selection.

I have 3 computers in my house and all the 3 connected to download programs ( Azureus ) for bit torrent file downloading. Only the one in DMZ option can connect to azureus and have full speed downloading.

I've tried the following :

1- Disabling Firewall : no effect same problem

2- Disabling NAT : I've lost connectivity to the net

3- editing the configuration file ( saved by backup setting facility in the modem ) and then I've editied dmz ipadd = '192.168.2.*' > adding '*' to indicate any address range shall use the DMZ but the modem refused to use the modified configuration file and says its 'CORRUPTED'.

I'm really fed-up with this modem

can anyone help.....

Thanks

I would guess that you need to be looking at opening the ports related to azureus >>>>

So, what are NAT problems?

NAT is Network Address Translation, which means that there is something between your PC and the internet making the connection. This device can be either a firewall or a router, and it needs to be properly configured for Azureus to run.

§ For a firewall, you need to open the ports used by Azureus in TCP. By default from 2.0.6.0 on, it is only port 6881.

§ For a router, you need to forward the ports used by Azureus in TCP. By default from 2.0.6.0 on, it is only port 6881.

So to solve that kind of problem, please refer to your manual to set up your device correctly.
