belkin wireless network and bt adapter?

  itzjoolz 00:14 02 Oct 06

I have a BT voyager 1010 usb adapter and im trying to connect it to my belkin unsecured network. It manages to connect but signal is v low, even when its right next to the router. Are these 2 comatible? or am I doing something wrong?

If you have a connection, but low, it is possibly down to interferance from things like speakers, etc. Move the belkin to a different location away from any other device...

I can get a good signal everywhere on my laptop with a netgear card, so how come bt doesnt pick it up? Thanks for your help

Is this with BT software or driver-only? Whichever it is, try uninstalling it and swapping to the other approach. Enter Device Manager and double-click on the adapter's entry. Is there an Advanced tab on the properties dialogue? If so, what options does it have?

Ive tried driver only but cant pick up the connection. I installed the bt voyager with the bt disc on setup. It picks up the network but now its saying its unavailable yet it was connected with v low signal before.
on the advanced tab it reads:
