Belkin router is this all I need for a network ?

When buying a Belkin ADSL router from Comet yesterday to connect my old desk top to a new laptop and go wireless,I was told 'this will be all you need to go wireless'.
However when fully reading the instrutions it says I need an network adapter for the desk top.
The laptop is wireless enabled.
The router is connected to the desk top with an Ethernet cable so do I need an adapter?

If the PC is "hard wired via ethernet then the answer is no. Your laptop is capable of wireless already, and your PC's connection is dealt with by it's ethernet connection, All you need is your ISP's settings for the router and you should be fine...might have been better to post this in the networking section though :)
