I have brought a Belkin N300 USB Adapter F5d8053ed V6.000, but my
Acer 5920G (vista) uses ACER e-Net management via a Intel(R)PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.
The Belkin manual advises that If
The Adapter does not perform or connection is unstable
when computer has a second built-in wireless network
card (such as a mini PCI or Intel® Centrino™).
This condition occurs if your computer has a built-in wireless
card while your Belkin N Wireless USB Adapter is also active.
This happens because Windows must now handle two active
wireless connections.
You must disable the built-in wireless card from your computer
under “Network Adapters” in the Device Manager.
How do I do this, and can I undo it ?
The USB is listed in Adapter 2 in wireless manger properties.
