I am thinking of upgrading from my Netgear 54 Mbps router/modem to a Belkin N+ as I keep losing the signal on my laptops even though they are well within the permitted range and our walls are glorified cardboard. If I do so, will I need to upgrade the card in each of my 2 laptops to benefit? Should I buy the Belkin N+ Wireless USB adapter?

it might not matter with distance but if you are looking for an improvement in speed then it might be best to purchase the usb adapter, or to spare a USB port, you could buy a PCMCIA or an express card version to take up one of the most unused ports on the computer. it would also help with a good send and recive signal so i would advise that you upgrade to Wireless N+ adapters
