Belkin adapter problem after malware elimination

I have a Belkin G adapter on a desktop machine (OS W2K). The router is a Belkin N1. Yesterday I bought PC Tools Spyware Doctor and ran a scan. I eliminated the rcommended stuff, and my wireless setup stopped working. I restored the files from the Spyware quarantine section, but the wireless still won't work. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the Belkin Setup Utility.

Sounds like a TCP/IP and Winsock restore is required . Open a command prompt ( start/run and type in CMD , and press enter )

In the command box type in ...netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt , then press enter , then type in ...netsh winsock reset catalog , and press enter again . You will be asked to reboot , so type in exit , press enter , then type it in again and press enter , that will close the command prompt , then reboot and see if that has helped .
