Belkin Adapter on 98 SE

Okay, I'm up and running with my XP machine and a Belkin High Speed Wireless G USB adapter. Tried to install another one on my Win 98 SE machine with no joy. The driver is not recognised. I've downloaded the driver from their website but it's exactly the same as on the CD that came with the Adapter.
I wonder if it's my USB port? The USB works fine with printer, bluetooth, and a mem stick, but I have another memory stick that isn't recognised on the 98 SE but works fine on the XP.

Did you make sure that the driver was for 98 when you downloaded it.
