Has anyone used Belarc Advisor, if so, is it any good and is it straight forward to use?

Thanks, Chris.

Diodorus Siculus,

Thanks for the link.

Cheers, Chris.

Yes and yes.
I've used it on 4 different PCs to find out what upgrades are possible/suitable for the particualr PC. Always works.

Easy to install and run. Easy to remove.

It is very slightly limited, but Hey it is free!

Often a God-send when trying to help others. I shall look at Diodorus Siculus' link just because it might be better.

Some time since I last used Belarc, suddenly remembered I have Aida32.

This in my view is better, and very like the Everest one Diodorus Siculus mentioned which may be better still!

Everest is the successor to Aida32, and very good it is too.

However, Belarc is pretty good too - especially for the less experienced user who simply wants to get an overview of their PC.

But Software Sandra or Everest (as recommended by Diodorus) better for more in-depth analysis.

  jarani 17:38 21 May 05

take note - Belarc gives hardware and software details - everest gives hardware only - unless i am mistaken - regards - jarani
