Being Driven Crazy

I have Windows 7 installed and am trying to change my email default programme (in W7 default list) from an old email client to my current one. I just cannot work out how to do this. Problem is that my current programmme (WikMail) does not appear in the list of default programmes and though I have read many articles on how to add to list of defaults I fail miserably each time. Can someone please help (in simple terms if possible).

Thanks for your response. I tried the first one but it is good for only programmes that already exist in the default list. Unfortunately I don't feel confident enough to take on the alternative but I think now I might get someone with a lot more I/T ability than I have to have a go for me.
Thanks again.

If you use this link click here and click on the Program Settings icon, it brings up a screenshot which includes a tick box "make Wikmail your default email client".

Your job is to find that tick box in the actual program. It seems to be in "Settings and Options"
