Beginning Dump of Physical Memory

Can anybody help me. I am occasionally, shortly after my computer has booted up, getting a blue screen suddenly appear with the following message:
"Stop: 0x000000B8 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) A wait operation, attach process or yield was attempted from a DPC routine.
Beginning dump of physical memory."
Nothing then seems to happen so I press the restart button and it re-boots and all is well. I have Windows 2000 installed but have no idea why this happens, what it means or what to do about it. Please keep any response in very simple language. Thanks.

I do keep my OS updated regularly so don't think this is the problem. Thanks.
