Hello Friends, A few weeks ago I put a question for discussion about my startup prob…and someone said that it might be the graphic card or the sd-ram not seated well. The problem was and still is, that when starting up my PC the beep at startup keeps on beeping,
With a new graphic card and new sd-ram 256, prob…remains.
Now I discovered, that when beeping if I press the reset button, sometimes 2 or 3 times, it start normally and once it stared system works perfectly. A friend said it could be a faulty motherboard, what do you think any ideas??

Motherboard: DFI AK70 AMD750 ATX 5PCI x 1AGP 3 DIMM SLOTS.
Processor: AMD K7-900MHZ Thunderbird.
Windows: 98 second edition
Thanks to every one and keep up the good work.

For you mobo there are two kinds of beep codes in the BIOS. One code
indicates that a video error has occured and the BIOS cannot
initialize the video screen to display any additional information. This
beep code consists of a single long beep followed by three short
beeps. The other code indicates that a DRAM error has occured.
This beep code consists of a single long beep.

Current flavour of the month for such problems seems to be to check your RAM. You have 3 slots but don't say how they are used. If you have more than one memory chip try using just one at a time.

Yes... You download the latest version and most of them is just a case of putting it to a floppy disk or CD and booting from it (it will explain how to do this on the website or in the file you download)!!!

Regarding RAM I have ONE of 256 in one slot.

Also try memory in another slot, in fact try all other slots in turn.
