BCC in email ?

hi, just had the grandaughter on the phone asking what did BCC stand for in emails, i said "blind carbon copy" the thing is, am i right, and more to the point, what is it?

It means you can send a copy of the email to a recipient without any of the other recipients knowing the bcc recipient has received it as well. If that makes sense.

You are right.

The other recipients of the mail will not be able to see that the e-mail has been copied to the bcc recipients.
