Is it possible to stop BBC iPlayer loading automatically at startup? I cannot see any reference to the programme in the list of startup items but it always appears when booting up.

Start the Player and then top left you should see a box marked Preferences. Click on this and untick the box under Startup . Then click Save.

SORRY !!! Should have said top right.

Two places to check....

  1. Start - Run - msconfig - Startup. Disable if found.

And....

  1. Start - All Programmes - Startup folder. Delete if found.

iscanut You are, of course, correct!! I'd forgotten about that method - apologies.

Thanks iscanut. It is all a question of knowing where to look.
